Presence Based Church Foundations

Or have you felt frustrated by the lack of meaningful connections in your life and a seeming disconnect between church and everything else that goes on in your life?
Learn about Redemptive Community
The course is an opportunity to learn about redemptive community in theological and practical ways, providing foundational, theological cornerstones of Presence Based Church. We visit at least six different community settings, and sit with wider church leadership to discuss how to supporting these expressions of intentional community life. You’ll be part of a group of people from around the country, from different walks of life, who sense a call to revisit the basis of church as local, relational, and redemptive communities.

The Presence Based Leader
Are you called to lead a movement towards Presence Based Church in your community, to create belonging and transformation with a group of people committed to journeying together in a shared place? Or are you wrestling with the challenges of moving a church towards solidarity with the poor in the place that you live in?
Learn about place-based christian Leadership
The course builds on the theological foundations laid out in the first block course, extending into a theology of incarnational, Jesus-modelled leadership. With opportunities to interview a range of past and present community leaders you’ll get up close and personal to the realities of leadership. Through reflective practice and learning about leading change, you’ll begin to map your way forward as a leader in your community.
